Kähler is historically very well known and recognized for his ceramic characters. And that tradition takes artist Louise Hindsgavl with her into the work of the Moments of Being series, where she both draws threads back to the artistic story that Kähler is a part of and into the time we are in right now. The figure Silent Change is about the woman who is undergoing a change and is going towards new times. A new girlfriend, a new time alone, new job, a journey, a new insight or new position of good and evil. The Silent Change figure's expression with the woman who, with her hand under the chin thoughtfully, looks up, encapsulates beautifully and precisely the immersion and thoughtfulness that is often associated with major changes-both physical and mental changes. Both inner and outer changes. For it can be changes that only she can see and feel - and changes that are visible to the rest of the world. Silent Change will also be a sweet and telling marking of time up through young teenage years and into adulthood. The transition - the change - from girl to woman. The 18.5 cm high silent change-porcelain figure symbolizes a moment of change and exudes strength, power and optimism. Moments of Being is a series of three women's sculptures that, in addition to Silent Change, consist of beginning and Heavenly Grounded. All figures are shaped in white glazed, matte faience in a simple and classic design, where the rounded shapes are defining for each female figure.
