The carpet of old fishing nets. The Missouri carpet is produced in collaboration between Muubs and Ege Carpets with the idea of producing a more sustainable carpet. Fishing nets are responsible for one-tenth of the pollution of the sea, which can drift around for months/years, endangering marine animals and plants. The fishing nets are collected and physically and chemically degraded, then they are processed into a strong yarn that is used in weaving.
